To commemorate Good Friday we met at the church and watched Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ. It is such a powerful movie. I’m deeply moved every time I watch it. Christ’s passionate love for us is vividly displayed in an extremely profound way.
One of the most important messages of Good Friday is the fact that the story isn’t finished yet. The gospel didn’t end with Good Friday and thank God, neither did Gibson’s portrayal of it. Sunday is coming, resurrection is at hand. There’s hope for us, no matter our circumstances – our story isn’t finished yet, your story isn’t finished yet!
We worshipped for a while after the movie. One of the songs we listened to was Rita Springer’s “Worth it All” from her “Effortless” CD. It touched my heart so. The movie reminded me that I was worth it all to Him and the song reminded me that He is worth it all to me. Read the words, listen to the clip and let it touch your heart too. It really is gonna be worth it all!
Worth it All
by Rita Springer
I don't understand Your ways
Oh but I will give You my song
Give You all of my praise
You hold on to all my pain
With it You are pulling me closer
And pulling me into Your ways
Now around every corner
And up every mountain
I'm not looking for crowns
Or the water from fountains
I'm desperate in seeking, frantic believing
That the sight of Your face
Is all that I needI will say to You
It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it all
I believe this
It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it all
I believe this
You're gonna be worth it
You're gonna be worth it
You're gonna be worth it all
I believe this
You're gonna be worth it
You're gonna be worth it
You're gonna be worth it all
I believe this
